Clean

Please note that Honed, Concrete and Rough finishes require more cleaning than our Polished finishes. Since there is more exposed surface area with these finishes, metal marks, fingerprints and other signs of daily living will show. Most of these marks can be removed with little effort and non-abrasive cleaning products such as Soft Scrub Liquid Gel.

Use recommended cleaning products and check the product first by applying it to an inconspicuous area on the surface. It’s best to avoid using the same cloth you use for washing dishes, as it may transfer oils and other contaminants to your surface. Cleaning products that should not be used, include oven grill cleaners, floor strippers, toilet bowl cleaners, oil soaps, tarnish removers, furniture cleaners, drain products, wipes and cleaners specific to granite, marble and other natural stones, etc. Should your surface accidentally be exposed to any potentially damaging products, rinse immediately with water to neutralize the effect. Your quartz surface is engineered to be highly nonporous, and as such it is non-absorbent, and does not host bacteria, mold, or mildew, remains safe and fresh for ultimate cleanliness.
If you’re looking to use environmentally safe cleaners on your surface, use a combination of 50/50 vinegar and water. Rinse and dry the surface thoroughly afterward.
Occasionally, the surface should be cleaned with Soft Scrub® Liquid Gel with Bleach and thoroughly dried. Due to Caesarstone’s surfaces’ high density and non-porous qualities, normal cleaning with a damp cloth and soap is all you need to keep your surface looking great. We recommend a thorough cleaning of your Caesarstone surface on a regular basis (because of the patina that will develop on the surface from day-to-day use) to keep the surface as beautiful as the day it was installed. If you have heavy patina build-up from using non-approved cleaners, please contact our Customer Care department for detailed instructions on how best to remove it.
Special use suitable ONLY for spot cleaning, and because of the abrasive nature of this cleaner, use Bar Keepers Friend Power ONLY as follows: Place a small amount on a damp cloth and using very light pressure wipe the area where the marks are, in a circular motion, then rinse thoroughly with warm water and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel. Do not use a scouring pad.
To remove adhered material, first reanimate the spill with water for several minutes. Then, follow our recommended cleaning methods and clean the surface with a damp cloth to remove any marks left behind and any residual dirt. Do not use any abrasive pads to clean tougher dirt as they can damage the finish and sheen of your surface.
For everyday routine cleaning, a splash of warm water and soap or a mild detergent will do. Plant oil-based soaps should be avoided. Our surfaces are extremely strong, nonporous, and stain resistant, so just wipe with a soft cloth or dipped in warm soapy water or use our convenient Soft Scrub Gel, then rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel. For tougher blemishes, apply a non-abrasive cleaner such as Soft Scrub® Liquid Gel with Bleach or a mild degreaser on a damp cloth and wipe the surface. Rinse with warm water to wash away the residue and dry with paper towel, and your surface is as good as new! It is recommended to do a deep cleaning once a month to prevent patina build up. It’s always good to wipe away wet spills immediately, to prevent a patina from building up. Finishes other than Polished may need a little more daily maintenance due to their unique patterns and finishes. See also: How do I protect my quartz surface? How do I care for dark surfaces?

Caesarstone, the pioneering frontrunner in quartz surfaces, operates three plants where quartz surfaces are made, one of which is in Savannah, Georgia, USA.

Stone finishes give the surface its final look in terms of tactility (feel in touch), light reflection, and overall coming together of color and pattern. It is determined by the depth of grounding the slab undergoes in its final stages. Honed is a more matted sheen that has a flat, smoother texture, while polished gives off a highly reflective, bright shine.

Solaris, by Caesarstone, is our only outdoor collection that is suitable for outdoor application, made to withstand prolonged UV-ray exposure, and extreme weather.

We regard the safeguarding of the environment as our highest priority. That’s why we are proud to have been awarded the stringent American Greenguard certification, proving our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint. We also set the benchmark when it comes to using recycled materials in our products, with a range of surfaces that incorporate up to 42% reclaimed quartz.

Quartz surfaces are man-made engineered stones, combining up to 93% raw quartz crystals with numerous resin binders and dashes of pigment dyes, all pressed together using innovative patented technology that produces a range of incredibly durable and superbly beautiful quartz surfaces.

Expanding on the patented 1970s Breton system, Caesarstone pioneered the market segment of quartz surfaces, worldwide, proven to be highly improved alternatives to natural stone, such as marble and granite.

Quartz mineral is as common as sand, yet tougher than steel, with a hardness of 7 compared with the 10 of a diamond (Mohs scale). Resistant to stains, scratches and cracks, quartz is impervious to heat and cold and to common household chemicals.

Quartz surfaces combine form and function, allowing for the most diverse, durable, and practical applications. Our surfaces retain the cool, tactile qualities of natural stone, while offering design freedom with almost unlimited application possibilities in hygienic, durable, and beautiful surfaces.

Caesarstone is the pioneering manufacturer of premium quart surfaces, offering the largest variety of designs for over three decades. Our unique mixture of ground quartz aggregates, resins, and pigment create surfaces that last a lifetime.

Protect

  • Avoid strong chemicals and solvents, and strong acids or alkalis, oxidizers or similar materials, regardless of pH.
  • Avoid harsh cleaning products such as: oven/grill cleaners, dishwasher detergent, floor strippers, oil soaps, paint removers/strippers, etc. or any products containing trichloroethane or methylene chloride
  • Avoid products containing oils as they may leave a residue. All products should be rinsed off thoroughly
  • If the surface comes into contact with any products that might damage it, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
  • Check each cleaning product first on an inconspicuous area to ensure it doesn’t damage the surface.

Do not allow liquids to dry out or remain on your surface for a long time. Always wipe away wet spills, to prevent limescale forming. This is particularly important on dark surfaces, on which a patina may be more visible.

Always refrain from placing excessive weight on your countertop. Excessive weight can also have an impact on the underlying cabinet structure.

Caesarstone surfaces are scratch resistant. However, avoid using sharp objects, such as knives or screwdrivers, directly on the surface. Always use a cutting board especially on dark surfaces, which tend to be more prone to show scratch marks.

Always use a cutting board, although quartz surfaces are scratch resistant.

Dark surfaces may need a little more daily maintenance since they are characteristically more prone to showing signs of daily use than light surfaces. All dark surfaces tend to be more sensitive to noticeable scratch marks and should be protected from sharp objects. A patina may be more visible on dark models, so wipe away liquid spills and don’t let them dry out on the surface. Use of cream-textured cleaning products is not recommended on dark surfaces, check first on an inconspicuous area.

Caesarstone surfaces require very little maintenance to keep them looking like new. Here are some pointers for protecting your surface.

  • Do not let your Caesarstone surface come into contact with strong acids or alkalis, oxidizers or similar materials, regardless of pH.
  • Do not use harsh cleaning products such as: oven/grill cleaners, dishwasher polishing agents, lye, caustic soda, acetone, paint strippers or any products containing trichloroethane or methylene chloride.
  • Do not use plant-based cleaning agents as they may cause a chemical build up.
  • If the surface comes into contact with any products that might damage it, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
  • After cleaning, thoroughly rinse off any cleaning materials with water.
  • Do not allow dirt or liquids to remain on the surface for a long time.
  • If you use a cleaning product that is not Scrub® Liquid Gel, check first on an inconspicuous area that it doesn’t damage the surface.
  • Do not use abrasive scourers, as they can damage the finish/sheen of your Caesarstone surface.

Our quartz surfaces are highly resistant to just about anything, including cracks, scratches, and stains because they are nonporous. This also eliminates the need for sealing or polish and reduces bacterial growth potential. You never need to apply sealer to any Caesarstone surface.

Caesarstone can withstand very brief exposure to moderate heat, however, any stone material can potentially be damaged by sudden and rapid temperature changes, especially near the edges. Therefore, the best course of action to prevent discoloration or cracking is to use inexpensive and readily available trivets, especially when using cooking units such as electric frying pans, crock pots or toaster ovens. Do not put hot cookware directly on the Caesarstone surface.
